The July Club Trip

July 15, 2017

Early morning set off for the camera club at 7am but Ross forgot to set his alarm so we set off a little later but was no problem to the members.

Weather here was great but once we reached our first place it was raining so we all headed to the cafe on Roa Island. Some members set off to take photos of a great wreck and were joined by the rest later.

A good look round the island was done then we headed to Haverthwaite Railway station to take a few pics.

Big bonus when we arrived as a man with three owls on show let us kindly take photos while others caught the steam engine pulling into the station.

Again a good look around by members. This was getting thirsty work so Keith suggested we headed to the Kirkstone Inn for a drink as the fog stopped us getting some brill pics.

Roy was thirsty and had about 12 pints. Back in the bus and we were off along the lakes looking for places to stop as the weather had changed and dried up. We stopped off at a few places in Ullswater and got some great photos as the skies were looking brilliant. Bit of a scare for me cos as we were walking along the road a good few cows decided to get near the fence. I wasn't happy as i hate them. Members laughed but started to cry lol. We spent another half hour snapping away then decided to call it a day and headed to Penrith for our fish and chips.. They were lush. Back on the bus to be driven home by Keith who, once again, did a great job driving us around from place to place. We all decided we are going to chip in and buy Ross a new alarm clock so he ain't late again hahaha... Another great day out by the club and we look forward to the next one...
