The end of the 2016-2017 season had approached here at Ashington Camera Club. On Thursday the 27th April we held our yearly Annual General Meeting (AGM) where member had the chance to express concerns, make changes and ask question.
The evening was well attended with some good points brought to the club from various members. With these points there was lots of healthy debate and discussion on each before a vote was cast for approval or not.
There has been some changes made and the club members have received an email with the minuets attached to read through. One of which you will notice on our info page is a slight change in the committee members.
The club, in my opinion, is going from strength to strength and I look forward to what the 2017-2018 season brings. For now we can enjoy a more relaxed club with the start of the "summer" season.
First though we have our annual presentation night to look forward to on the 4th May 2017. This is held at the Swan in Choppington this year and will include a meal and presentation of the trophies (new ones I might add) and certificates for the winners, seconded/third places and the highly commended. A night that is always a highlight of the season.
With that, here's to a great start of the summer season next week (11th May) and for a bight 2017-2018 season.
