Presentation by Ed Forster & Mick Howe

March 16, 2016

Thursday just gone we had a print and DPI presentation by Ed Forster & Mick Howe with a selection of various photos. There was a great range of styles, techniques and subjects on display. With a tour of Great Briton thrown in too! It was a very enjoyable night and I hope it gave the members some inspiration and ideas.

This coming Thursday (17/03/16) we have the Competition results of round 4 open prints (1 Colour, 2 Mono), judged by David Hall ARPS EFIAP DPAGB BPE3. If you are coming, could you please be seated by 07:30pm for a prompt start.

Entries are also due in for Open DPI/PDI round 3. Please bring your entries in on USB/DVD/CD for Malcolm. Please remember dimensions are limited to 1400 (width) x 1050 (height) pixels dimensions, 72ppi resolution, and 900kb in file size.

One of our members, Lewis Bond has an exhibit coming up in Highley gate garden centre. The exhibit is on the 30th and 31st March, so please show some support for Lewis and attend if you can.

The committee meeting was put on hold this week due to a busy night setting up for Ed and Mick. The committee meeting will now take place on the 31st. Could all committee members please be at the hall by 06:45pm, if you can make it.

Deposits and meal choice are now due for the club annual meal. If you are going, please pay your £5 deposit to Lesley Barton as soon as possible. The meal will be on the 5th May at the Swan, Choppington.

The hall will be closed on the 23rd June to be used as a polling station for the EU referendum. With this happening during our summer season, we were thinking of maybe a little club trip out somewhere. More news to follow on this at a later date.

That's all for now and I hope to see you on Thursday for the results.
